We are pleased to announce that Research Directs in Psychology and Behavior has officially been renamed Research in Psychology and Behavior. This updated name reflects our commitment to delivering impactful research while presenting a more concise and accessible identity to the academic and professional community.

What’s changing?
Starting with all new articles, our journal will be published under the name Research in Psychology and Behavior. This change allows us to maintain our focus on high-quality research in psychology and behavior while simplifying the journal name for greater clarity and engagement.

What stays the same?

  • All previously published articles under Research Directs in Psychology and Behavior will remain unchanged. They will still be accessible, fully citable, and recognized in their original form.
  • The name change applies only to articles published moving forward.
  • Our rigorous peer-review process, commitment to open access, and dedication to advancing the field remain constant.

We believe this transition will strengthen our journal’s presence and continue to support innovative and meaningful research in psychology and behavior.

Vol. 5 No. 1 (2025)

Research in Psychology and Behavior is an open access, double peer-reviewed, internationally published journal, indexed on Google Scholar to track citations, h-index and i10-index for impact. The journal is a Crossref member for digital object identifier (DOI) number assignment and citation tracking.

Research in Psychology and Behavior publishes manuscripts as they are accepted. Published works are dated by year, volume (issue): manuscript number and DOI number.  Example: 2025, Volume 5 (Issue 1): 1, DOI#.

Publication Timeline: From submission to publication, manuscripts in RPB take on average less than 35-45 days. Timelines may vary based on reviewer promptness and the time needed for authors to address revisions.
